I drew these classic rock music logos on with biro pens. It's like being a teenage metal fan again, but with precision... and less spots and body odour...
Born in the UK, and educated in London at the Royal College of Art, Jody has a way of combining words and images that is unique. He puts together classical drawing skills with wit and a crazy wisdom. His ideas and images are like tattoos for the mind - once you've seen them, you don't forget them. A constant innovator in materials and typographic presentation, Jody is always working on new ideas and approaches to communicating visually. Lately he has done a portrait of Kurt Cobain, a funeral urn covered in yin-yangs, a national ad campaign for sexually confused teenagers, a signature shoe, a shopfront covered in mirrored smoke, an album cover for a famous band, a back-drop for another famous band, a ridiculous zine full of sexy naked girls, a customised German flag covered in sausages, a pair of shoes covered in skulls and slogans and a new approach to hand-made typography using jewel like, flowing watercolour. Jody is as much a creator of ideas as just a mediator of other peoples' ideas. Involving him in the communication process from the beginning makes the most of his ability to create new ways of reaching an audience.
